4 Local Coffee Shops in Odessa, Texas
In the last several years Odessa has gone from zero craft coffee shops to thankfully having some great options. Whether you work a 9 to 5, you’re taking the kids off to a playdate, or you’re headed out to the rig, coffee is a necessity.
If you’ve moved from a hipster city like Austin you might be on the hunt for something besides chain coffee. Though Starbucks is a pretty solid safety net when it comes to the tasty go-go juice, you can find local brews that make your taste buds cheer up and add a little pep in your step. Coffee is life and the local cafes in Odessa do not disappoint.
Here’s our guide to the local coffee shops in Odessa, Texas:
1. Press Cafe
Tucked away in the Sewell Ford Lincoln Dealership in Parks Legado Town Center lives Press Cafe.
While it may be hard to find, it is well worth the hunt. You can easily spend the majority of your Saturdays here drinking either an espresso cream soda or enjoying an affogato.
While the cafe is full service and the food is amazing, the coffee and customer service is what keeps customers coming back.

2. Coffee 903
This new edition to the Odessa coffee scene is located on the southwest side of town, overlooking the beautiful Comanche Trail. Coffee 903 was started out of a love for coffee and a want to fund a local non-profit.
Hidden in the building of Iglesia Del Camino is this espresso oasis. Because of the untraditional hours of the coffee shop, you’ll have to snag an El Camino, one of their signature drinks, while you can. If you drink non-dairy milk in your coffee as much as possible, it’s one of the reasons Coffee 903 is on the list.
It has a wide variety of non-dairy milk such as oat milk, almond, and more. Stop by this adorable shop and get an El Camino with Oat Milk, you won’t regret it!

3. CPL. Rays
If you’re new in town, this will be your safe haven and the first coffee shop you might walk into the outside of Starbucks. Its a warm, family-friendly environment that makes patrons feel at home.
Known for its “Ray- Ray”, CPL. Ray’s was started by a family who lost their son while serving in Iraq. While the story and what the company is founded on is amazing, the coffee is just as good!
A local favorite is an iced-americano or if you have a major sweet tooth, you’ll love their dirty iced chai lattes.

4. DoughBoy’s Cafe
DoughBoy’s Cafe, or as it should be called: iced coffee heaven, seems to be a favorite among high school aged students. Near Odessa High School on 10th street is DoughBoy’s.
The Odessa themed mural on the side of the cafe won’t miss your attention. It’s iced coffee heaven because it was one of the best iced coffees to be found in Odessa.
When it comes to iced coffee usually the ratio of ice to coffee is off: too much ice, the coffee is watery, not enough, and the coffee is bitter. But as the ice melts while you drink it, DoughBoy’s iced coffee taste stays consistent which is huge!
This is a perfect spot to get iced coffee and take a load off.
